Ashgate Buddies

At Ashgate we understand the importance of promoting peer to peer support through shared enjoyable experiences and the value of developing and maintaining peer friendships for good mental health and wellbeing.

Ashgate Buddies are good friends. they are learning to recognize when a friend may need help and to tell a grown up if they see that someone is upset or hurt. They know that to be a good friend you should try to be a good listener and always use kind words and actions , They are encouraged to use the Ashgate Buddy communication boards to help others understand or express their feelings, wants and needs, The boards also display symbols to remind us how to be a good friend,.
